Picking a New Doctor 101

You’ve been burned too many times before, and this episode was the last straw. You can’t stand going to this practice ever again. They made you sit on the phone pressing number after number, and then when you finally got to a real person they put you on hold, and then the call dropped! Or maybe you waited forever to see this doctor, and it didn’t end up being the person you were supposed to see - or maybe it was the doctor you wanted, and they were BEYOND rude and dismissive. Or maybe you haven’t been to the doctor in years and years, but you’ve got this lingering worry that something serious might be going on…

Whatever it is that’s making you seek a new doctor, how in the world are you going to decide? The one your insurance recommends (but that one is getting paid to do what your insurance company wants, not necessarily what’s best for YOU!)? The closest? The best Facebook comments? The most stars on Google reviews? The shiniest ad in the paper? The most obnoxious one on TV? The guy your best friend swears by?

What about actually meeting your doctor, in the clinic you’ll be seen in, and just having a chat, no string attached? That’s what we recommend. And that’s what we offer at Homestead DPC - come in for a meet and greet with Dr. Langley. For free. Just schedule it with us, bring a list of questions, and trust your gut rather than a comment on Yelp.
