Where your doctor works for you
This physician is your
advocate
Imagine having a doctor in the family - a cousin you can just reach out and text message when you have something worrying you.
Dr. Rachel K. Langley offers exactly that kind of care as your neighborhood Direct Primary Care physician in Gleneagle. She left behind the insurance-driven system because she believes patients deserve better than rushed visits and endless ‘push 1 for records, 2 for billing…’ on the phone.
In her DPC practice, a monthly membership gives patients something priceless: a doctor who knows them, has time for them, and is directly accessible to them. When patients need her, she's there - no insurance authorizations or corporate protocols standing in the way. Just real, personal healthcare.
Dr. Langley is a family physician in Gleneagle (Monument/Black Forest/North Colorado Springs area) who will listen to you and take the time to hear what you're saying. She has opted out of the "normal" healthcare insurance system.
Free of that administrative burden, she works directly for her patients for a monthly membership fee. Paid only by her patients, she works only for them - with no conflicts of interest to keep an insurance company happy.

If they really wanted you to be healthy they would make it easy to talk to your Doctor
Having insurance isn’t the same as having a doctor
If your health concern is less painful than the process of seeing your doctor, then you're not going to put in the effort to be seen
If you've ever wondered what happened to the days of a family doc who would sit down and look you in the eye during your appointment, and have time to chat about what the kids are up to and how your garden is doing, then look no further. HDPC is part of a larger movement in medicine called Direct Primary Care, which treats insurance as something for large expenses and emergencies, and not a way to pay for the expected annual medical care that everyone needs. We have contracted with local labs, imaging centers, and even some specialists to keep your prices reasonable. We even offer some common medications on site that we can sell for a wholesale cost, no waiting at the pharmacy required!
Why ‘homestead’?
Our clinic is located near what used to be the tiny towns of Husted and Edgerton. Visit the nearby Western Museum of Mining & Industry to learn more, but we think that’s pretty cool and a part of our heritage. Just as the original residents of those towns, and even further back to the Utes, had to learn and adapt to live here, so must our clinic teach and work with the community to thrive. With so much raw data as well as opinion pieces available on the internet, it's hard to know which is which, and having your own personal doctor that you can email with questions will help you make the right decisions! Dr. Langley has worked as a teacher, enjoys public speaking, and even has a youtube channel because she just wants people to know more about their health.
Dr. Langley lives on 5 acres with a bunch of animals and a big garden, because that’s what she enjoys in her spare time. There is a movement for modern homesteaders to not only be creating food for their families, but also to be working to heal the ground from damage done to it in the past. She has very similar goals in her medical care; to not only provide care for your wart today, but also to work over years of relationship together to heal the damage done in the past. Whether from doctors rushing through the appointment and not thinking out what they were saying to you and how they were saying it. Or theories about how calories in and out and your weight are correlated.
If you’re looking for breakthrough state-of-the-art (expensive) technology, that’s not what we are about. If your health would be better by working in a relationship with a doctor you grow to trust and are comfortable with, come on in! And if you’re interested, you can also chat with Dr. Langley about her chickens, bees, geese, turkeys, pigs, and dairy cow.
Be heard by your doctor
Another great thing about spending more time at each appointment is that the doctor gets to practice to the full scope of their training. You see, family medicine doctors get trained to do all sorts of things in residency - things many family docs refer to orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons - skin lesion removals, complicated laceration repairs, small vein sclerotherapy, joint injections. These days, doctors can't fit these procedures into an 8 minute appointment. Here at HDPC we have the time we need to take care of you, and can take care of 85-90% of your medical needs right here.
